Nuo birželio 11 d. iki rugpjūčio 29 d. kiekvieną vasaros ketvirtadienį, penktadienį ir šeštadienį 18.30 val. Palangos orkestras kviečia į tradicinius „Orkestro vasaros“ koncertus Palangos Birutės parko rotondoje.
„Orkestro vasara“ tęsia daugiau nei šimtmetį gyvuojančią orkestrinės pučiamųjų muzikos tradiciją Palangoje, prasidėjusią dar grafų Tiškevičių giminės valdymo laikais.
XIX a. pabaigoje orkestrų koncertai tapo svarbia kurorto kultūrinio gyvenimo dalimi, o nuo 1927 m. jie vyksta Birutės parko rotondoje – erdvėje, kuri iki šiol išlaiko gyvą vasaros koncertų tradiciją.
Per daugelį metų Palangoje koncertavo garsūs orkestrai iš Lietuvos ir užsienio, o šiandien šią europietišką kurortinės muzikos tradiciją tęsia „Palangos orkestras“, daugiau nei du dešimtmečius nepertraukiamai rengiantis nemokamų koncertų ciklą po atviru dangumi.
Koncertams diriguoja orkestro meno vadovas ir vyriausiasis dirigentas Vygantas Rekašius. Renginius veda Aušra Latonienė ir Justina Mikniuvienė.
Nemokamus koncertus dovanoja Palangos miesto savivaldybė, Palangos Birutės parkas ir „Palangos orkestras“.
Lyjant koncertai nevyksta.

From June 11 to August 29, every summer Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 6:30 PM, Palangos orkestras invites audiences to the traditional “Summer of the Orchestra” concert series at the rotunda of Palangos Birutės parkas.
“Summer of the Orchestra” continues the more than century-old tradition of brass orchestra concerts in Palanga, dating back to the time of the Counts Tiškevičiai family.
By the end of the 19th century, orchestra performances had become an important part of the resort’s cultural life, and since 1927 the concerts have been held in the Birutė Park rotunda — a venue that continues to preserve this long-standing summer concert tradition.
Over the years, renowned orchestras from Lithuania and abroad have performed in Palanga. Today, this European-style resort music tradition is carried on by “Palangos orkestras,” which has been continuously organizing free open-air concert series for more than two decades.
The concerts are conducted by the orchestra’s artistic director and chief conductor Vygantas Rekašius. The events are hosted by Aušra Latonienė and Justina Mikniuvienė.
The free concerts are presented by the Palanga City Municipality, Birutė Park, and “Palangos orkestras.”
Concerts do not take place in case of rain.
