Composers are invited to apply for a place in the 9th European Composers Competition, to be held in Palanga, Lithuania in 2024 as part of the 45th European Brass Band Championships.

Composers are invited to submit an original composition for brass band of maximum 12 minutes duration.

The competition will consist of one preliminary round and a final. The final will take place 2 May 2024 in the Palanga Concert Hall, where the new compositions will be performed by a championship section brass band.

2nd place EUR 2000 3rd place EUR 1500 Band prize EUR 500
Audience prize EUR 500
All competitors who reach the final will receive a diploma.

Rules and invitation
Applicants must have been born on or after 1 January 1989.
Closing date for entries is 15 January 2024.
